About
A price board
for ammunition.
The Ammo Bourse tracks what in-stock ammunition costs right now, shows you the lowest price per round for each caliber, and keeps the history so you can tell a good price from an ordinary one.
What it is
A bourse is an exchange: a place where prices are posted in the open so buyers can compare. That is the whole idea here. Every four hours we check the in-stock listings for 25 calibers at five online retailers and record the price per round. The site shows the lowest tracked in-stock price for each caliber, every listing behind it, and how today compares with the recorded range.
Who runs it
The Ammo Bourse is built and run by Ben Ryder, a hunter and shooter who got tired of opening seven tabs to find out whether a case of 9mm was a deal. He also publishes outdoor and firearms content professionally. The site is independent. No retailer or manufacturer owns any part of it or sees the data before you do.
How it makes money
Two ways, both disclosed on the page where they happen. Some retailer links may pay a commission when you buy. The gear section links to Amazon, and as an Amazon Associate the site earns from qualifying purchases. Neither changes which listing is shown as the lowest price: that is decided by the number alone. The site also runs a small amount of display advertising.
What it does not do
It does not sell ammunition. It does not hold stock, take orders or process payments. It does not include shipping, tax or retailer membership discounts in the price per round, because those depend on where you live and what else is in your cart. Always confirm the product and the delivered total on the retailer's site before you buy.
Where the data comes from
The methodology page explains the retailers, the schedule, what gets excluded and how the price index is built. If something on the site looks wrong, the contact page is the fastest route to getting it fixed.
