Who we are

The Ammo Bourse (ammobourse.com) is an independent ammunition price tracker operated by Ben Ryder in the United States. Questions about this policy go to [email protected].

What we collect

Nothing you type, unless you set a price alert. The site has no accounts, no sign-up and no comment forms. The calculator runs in your browser and sends nothing to us.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and links are used. Google sets cookies for this and receives your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and the links you click (including which retailer or product link). IP addresses are not logged by Google Analytics 4 in a form we can see. You can block this with a browser extension or by turning off cookies; the site works without them. Google's own policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Price alerts. If you choose to set a browser price alert, your browser gives us a push subscription: an endpoint URL at your browser vendor (Google, Apple or Mozilla) and two encryption keys. We store that with the caliber and target price you chose, and use it only to send the alert. It contains no name or email. Clearing the site's data in your browser, or unsubscribing, removes it; we also delete subscriptions that the browser vendor reports as expired.

Server logs. The site runs on Cloudflare, which keeps short-term request logs (IP address, URL, user agent) for security and performance. We do not export or analyze these beyond aggregate traffic counts.

Preferences. The "Factory new only" switch is remembered in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

Advertising and affiliate links

Some links to retailers and the links to Amazon in the gear section are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, the retailer or Amazon may pay us a commission at no cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, The Ammo Bourse earns from qualifying purchases. Amazon and the retailers set their own cookies when you arrive on their sites, governed by their policies, not ours.

The site may show display advertising through Google AdSense. When it does, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com. When no paid ad is available, we show our own house ad, which sets no cookies.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade visitor information. We do not build profiles. We do not know who you are. We do not store payment details, because we sell nothing. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; this site is about a product that is sold only to adults.

Your choices

Block or clear cookies to stop analytics. Unsubscribe from alerts in your browser's notification settings; setting a new alert for the same caliber replaces the old one. Email us to ask what we hold about a push subscription (we can only look it up by the endpoint URL your browser holds) or to have it deleted.

Changes

If we add a tracker, a form, or a new way of earning money, this page changes first and the date at the top moves.
