Cost per round,
delivered.
Box price, rounds per box, shipping and tax, in: the real per-round cost, out. Compare two listings side by side.
How the math works
Delivered cost = (box price × quantity − discount) × (1 + tax rate) + shipping. Cost per round = delivered cost ÷ (rounds per box × quantity). Shipping is added after tax because most states do not tax shipping on ammunition orders; if yours does, add it to the box price instead.
Why delivered price matters
A case that is two cents a round cheaper can cost more once a $25 shipping charge lands on it, and a flat shipping fee changes the answer depending on how many cases you order. Free-shipping thresholds, membership programs and state sales tax on out-of-state orders all move the real number. The price board on the homepage shows the pre-shipping price so retailers compare on the same footing; this page is for the last step, when you know the cart total.
Quick references
50 rounds at $14.99 is 30¢ a round. 1,000 rounds at $229 is 22.9¢. 500 rounds at $139 is 27.8¢. A break-even check for shipping: divide the shipping charge by the total round count and add it to the per-round price. $20 shipping on 1,000 rounds adds 2¢ a round; on 200 rounds it adds 10¢.
